Training and Events Administrator (Maternity Cover)

Job Type:

  • Full Time – 10-month FTC (maternity cover)
  • Location – Early Excellence Centre, Outlane, Huddersfield
  • Salary – £20-22k

Early Excellence is a highly respected and well-established company, a national leader of Early Years Education specialising in equipping schools and training teachers. We provide an extensive range of online and onsite training to schools, lead a dynamic pupil assessment system (EExAT) developed to support best practice, and offer high-quality educational resources, furniture and toys for children aged 3-7yrs selling through ecommerce, retail and training environments.

Reporting to the Training, Events and Hospitality Team Leader, you will work within the Admin Team being responsible for:

  • Answering telephone calls from customers and suppliers and connecting them through to the correct internal department.
  • Managing the admin inbox, forwarding any correspondence to the relevant department, and responding to customer queries.
  • Booking accommodation and transportation for trainers.
  • Liaising with trainers to obtain course materials and formatting presentations.
  • Maintain and carry out processes in place in relation to presentations, monitoring records, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Creating and managing course booking enquiries through the on-line booking system including raising credit notes and amending course booking orders as required.
  • Assisting customers and delegates with technical enquiries relating to the online learning portal and booking system.
  • Producing and sending pre and post course communications to course delegates.
  • Uploading registrants onto the electronic sign in system for events and courses.
  • Setting up training rooms, IT equipment and ensuring all course materials, evaluation forms and marketing materials are set out and then cleared down at the end of each day.
  • Processing of evaluation forms and sending feedback to trainers.
  • First line technical support for delegates and speakers using webinar platforms such as Zoom and Go to Webinar.
  • Editing webinar recordings to be used on the online training portal and uploading course materials.
  • Taking visitor bookings via telephone / email and updating the centre diary.
  • Producing and displaying labels and signage within the classroom environments and preparation of materials for classroom design service.
  • Assisting with the administration and technical webinar support of external and national courses and events as required.
  • Working as part of the EEXAT help desk team by assisting customers with their queries, escalating required follow up actions to the Project Coordinator.
  • Assisting in the resource centre, café and covering reception to meet and greet visitors when required.
  • Assisting the wider team and the senior leadership team as required.

Key experiences / skills:

  • Previous administration experience with sole responsibility for success of key tasks – minimum of 3 years required.
  • Educated to degree level is desirable
  • Experience of using webinar software such as Zoom, TEAMs and Go to Webinar preferred
  • Professional telephone manner, experience, and confidence to deal with calls and queries.
  • Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail and presentation.
  • Strong working knowledge and proficiency of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) is a necessity
  • Ability to deliver high quality, accurate work within required deadlines

Contract Terms:

Full Time: 8.30am – 5.15pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30-4pm Friday

Contract Type: Full time, 10-month FTC (maternity cover)

Location: Early Excellence Centre, Outlane
