We provide an extensive, high-quality range of educational resources, furniture and toys for children aged 3-7yrs selling through ecommerce, retail and training environments.

We have an exciting opportunity for a delivery driver to join our transport team. Professional and reliable, you will help us provide an unbeatable service in the delivery of furniture, outdoor stores and resources to schools and nurseries across the UK.

So, as well as having a flexible approach and the ability to use your initiative to deal with unexpected situations, you should be passionate about providing the very highest levels of customer service.

We’ll expect you to go the extra mile, from completing deliveries to always acting in a professional and approachable manner. You’ll interact with many people at different points in your journey, whether it’s at our warehouse, our furniture manufacturers site or with our customers, so you should be an open, warm, and friendly individual.

Key Responsibilities:

A hands-on physically demanding driving role reporting into the Transport Team Leader, you will be responsible for delivering high quality products to our customers in a safe and courteous manner. This is also a varied role in which you will build a relationship with our internal warehouse team and support the goods inwards and outwards team when needed.

Role overview:

  1. Checking, loading and unloading furniture and resources at various destinations.
  2. Driving a company van to and from schools, nurseries or event locations, some of which require overnight stays.
  3. Providing on-site assembly and installation of outdoor stores and furniture repairs as needed.
  4. Adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations
  5. Maintaining the cleanliness of company vehicles
  6. Warehouse duties to included checking off incoming stock deliveries, putting away in appropriate areas and the picking and fulfilment of customer orders.

Special Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:

  1. 3 years’ driving experience, with a full valid UK manual driving licence, with no more than three points.
  2. Excellent communication and organisational skills
  3. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
  4. Highly responsible & reliable
  5. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  6. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  7. Must be prepared to be flexible.
  8. Vehicle knowledge to carry out daily checks and comply with legal requirements.

You should possess good numeracy, oral and written communication. You will be flexible as this role involves some overnight stays.

Owing to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory disclosure report from the Disclosure and Barring Service

Contract Type: Permanent – 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday), plus additional hours as required.

Hourly Rate: £10.00 per hour, moving to £10.50 after successful completion of  6-month probationary period

Location: Elland, West Yorkshire
